Hello ya'll! Hope this finds everyone well and happy that Summer is upon us! I, personally, have grown to love summertime more and more as I got older. Yes, it gets really hot here but the blessings of summer are endless. Many memories are made during the summer as kids are out of school and cookouts with family & friends are a regular weekend thing. There's fresh produce abundantly available, blockbuster movies to see at the theaters, no major holiday to scramble & stress over and everyone's favorite... those weekend visits to the white, sandy beaches of Florida. Ahhh, life is truly good in the south! In our Summer issue we have given you a few things to help you plan your summer and a few things just for you to enjoy. We are working on several new projects to bring you more & more things to help with your daily life and to enjoy each day. We will soon have the online version of jody magazine/j-outdoors magazine loaded with bonus features that you will LOVE! We are also working on websites for both mags for your convenience, that will include regular updates on sales & specials from local businesses! As for our facebook pages, we are about to add some apps that will enable easy access to our online magazines and maybe even something YOU can have input with! And last but not least, I will be starting a new blog soon! It will be a lot like the magazine and include quick, informative info, cute stuff & fun stories, but it will also include tips and advice on marriage, raising children, "mid-life" situations and inspirations to help you follow your dreams! Stay on the look-out! We're going to start a new journey together!
On a more serious note, I recently spent a day in Hackleburg, AL, one of the towns leveled by the April 27th tornadoes. Please keep these friends in your thoughts and prayers. And if you have a free weekend this summer, go up and help re-build some houses, in that town or another one. Within minutes these people lost everything. Have you really stopped to imagine yourself in that position? I had the pleasure of meeting some people, who having lost EVERYTHING themselves, were still working right along beside me to load supplies for OTHERS. Each told stories of having a neighbor or friend who didn't make it out alive or of themselves being "picked up" by the tornado and dropped a football field length away. Their lives will be in turmoil for a long time to come and we must not forget.
So, in closing, be sure to pick up the Summer issue of jody magazine (available starting Thursday, June 2) and enjoy! Email us your thoughts and your ideas for the magazine! We LOVE to hear from you! We're in this life together so let's make the very most of it.... in a fun & of course, cute way!
Until next time....

Welcome
Hi Everyone! Welcome to jody magazine! I am having SO much fun creating this magazine for you all and I truly hope that you love it!
We wanted to create the same cute & fun style for our blog site.... what do you think? Browse around the site, become a follower and tell your friends about us! Our Fall issue is now available! You will find a list of pick-up locations under our Buy/Subscribe tab. If you missed our 1st issue, make sure to click on the flower on the right. We have made available a complete page flip of the premier issue along with some bonus features. Would love to know what your thoughts are about having the bonus-filled version online! May be something we continue to do! Wanted to share a few extra things with you relating to our current issue: First, if you are interested in any of the items you see in the Holli's Hobbies feature or would like to hear about more crafts she makes, please email us at jodymagazine@aol.com and we will forward your info on to Holli! Also have a cute, quick tip for those of you who don't want the mess of carving a pumpkin or would prefer something smaller.... use a permanent marker and draw a jack-o-lantern face onto a few oranges! They are really cute and then you can eat them instead of tossing them out! Have a few extra photos we'd like to share too!
Here is a really cute idea for those adorable, personalized car tags if you can't put one on the front of your car. Use it in a little girl's room as a bow holder or in your office or kitchen as a memo holder!
Here are a few extra photos of the Masche sextuplets! Be sure to come out & meet Jenny (the mom) in person on Saturday, Oct. 23rd @ 9 a.m. behind Wiregrass Rebabilitation Center in Dothan. Bring your camera & have your photo made with her! Jenny will also be giving a presentation at 10 a.m. for anyone interested in losing weight, gaining more energy or making extra money! Just RSVP to us by emailing your name, how many will be attending with you and whether or not you will be staying for the presentation after the meet & greet. Email to: jodymagazine@aol.com
And, last but not least, time to tell you about our NutFest Challenge!!! First, come inside the vendor building to our booth & sign in, then you have to go ride as many rides as possible and come back to our booth to "sign out". The person who had the most rides in the fastest time wins! Prize package to include gifts, coupons & gift cards to local businesses! So, enjoy our Fall issue and keep checking back with us! We are planning lots of fun things for you!
